Cheddar & Skittles Biscuit Bites

A daring mix of savory cheddar biscuits with pops of fruity Skittles. Sweet and salty, chewy and soft — a surprising conversation starter.

Ingredients (avg. cost $9 total):

• 2 cups all-purpose flour ($1)
  
  

• 1 tbsp baking powder ($0.25)
  
  

• ½ tsp salt (pennies)
  
  

• ½ cup cold butter, cubed ($1)
  
  

• 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese ($2)
  
  

• ¾ cup milk ($0.75)
  
  

• ½ cup Skittles ($4)
  
  

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet.
   
   

2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.
   
   

3. Stir in cheese and milk just until dough forms.
   
   

4. Fold in Skittles gently.
